Daiken NZ Saltwater Creek Plant Fund

Daiken NZ is sponsoring the Waimakariri Biodiversity Trust, giving $15,000 over two years (mid 2025 to mid 2027) under the Restorative Justice programme following the effluent spill into the creek in 2023.

The Trust is seeking applications for the purchase of native plants to be used alongside Saltwater Creek or within 200m of the main stem or tributaries.​

The objective of the fund is to support native biodiversity initiatives occurring within Daiken property boundaries, aimed at ultimately improving the health of the waterway.

The Trust will allocate $7500 in early 2026 and will purchase plants on behalf of successful applicants. 

Applications are open until  15 December 2025
