Congratulations to the winners of this years Waimakariri Nature Photo competition

The Pest free Waimakariri Photo Competition had three sections this year; Wildlife portrait, Wildlife in the landscape, and an Under 15 section. There were some stunning entries of native wildlife and habitats from across our unique district that the judges had to work through.

Congratulations to the winners and runners up of firstly, the portrait section - "Little egret taking off", by Jeremy Sanson, and "Australasian crested grebes at Pegasus" by Robyn Young.

Winner of the Landscape section was Cliff Boddy with "Spoonbills", followed up by Odin Jansen with "Lovebirds".

And the under 15 was won by Olivia Woodcock with "Yellow admiral butterfly" followed by Ben Woodcock with "Black-billed gull".
